Taking Chance (1998). Based on a true story. Kevin Bacon plays Lt.Col. Mike Strobl who volunteers to take the body of Marine Chance Phelps (age 19) back to his small Wyoming home town.I never heard anything about this movie before we watched it but I loved it (and my husband did too!) and highly recommend it. Keep a box of tissues nearby; it's powerful.
