Muntins

I was reading this Kitchen Design magazine and learned something new so I thought I would share it with you.  Do you know what a muntin is?  I knew what it was when I saw it but I never knew the word for it.  Here's the wikipedia definition:

Muntin or Muntin bar is a strip of wood or metal separating and holding panes of glass in a window.[1] Muntins are also called "glazing bars", "muntin bars", or "sash bars". Muntins can be found in doors, windows and furniture, typically in western styles of architecture. Muntins divide a single window sash or casement into a grid system of small panes of glass, called "lights" or "lites".


I think that it is such a cool way to add a lot of interest to glass cabinets and windows.  A lot of time in windows they are taken for granted.  But there are some cool ways to have some fun with muntins to keep things interesting in your decor.  Here are a few examples:
