To Swim or not to Swim.

Have you heard about Book Swim?  It's like Netflix for books.  I've been debating about the cost effiency of it for myself.

Pros:
  • Books delivered to the house - shipping and handling included in the price which it isn't when I buy off Amazon.
  • Deliver multiple books at one time.  In case I develop ADD and need to switch around.
  • Can check out lots of design books that I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.
Cons:
  • I can't keep the books to put on my shelves for my library with my sliding ladder that I'll have one day...

  • How fast can I really read?  Between blogging, knitting, needlepointing, cooking, trying to exercise, travelling, etc., it seems like there are barely enough hours in the day as it is.
  • Do I really need to add one more bill when we're trying to pay things off??
What do you think?  Worth it or not?

  1. Library library library! You work in DC, so you can get a DC library card in addition to your Alexandria card. With those two library systems plus your university library (which has interlibrary loan with other schools), you should be able to get just about everything you want for free!

And whatever you can't find, you can buy for your future ladder library. :)

  2. I agree, go with the library! Not only is it free, I always stumble upon books I wouldn't have normally found while roaming around the library.
