Tuesday Tip: Perfect Baked Potato

I love potatoes. Hands down my favorite food. I am trying to cut down on carbs but every once in a while - especially with a good piece of red meat - a baked potato is necessary.

Growing up my mom always cooked baked potatoes in the oven in tinfoil or in the microwave with holes poked in them. I didn't know the difference.

Until now.

For the perfect baked potato, simply wash your potato and put it on the top rack of the oven. Bake it at 450 degrees for about 40 minutes - 1 hour depending on the size of the potato. The skin will be crispy and the potato will be perfectly fluffy inside. In fact, when you cut into it, it will actually pop! Fail safe and delicious. Another trick I learned from my husband.
